Pricing
There are three basic pricing groups that can be entered into SA/3.
- Group 1: Part numbers and designs that fit into our standard pricing matrix.
- Group 2: Part numbers and designs that do not fit into our standard pricing matrix.
- Group 3: Custom priced part numbers.
For Group 1:
List Prices are shown when you look up a price from the store home page and when you have finished specifying a new design. The list price, your discount, and the total net for each line item and the total order are all shown in the shopping cart.
The individual unit cost is shown on the summary screens when you save a shopping cart or submit an order.
For Group 2
Pricing is not available for this group. You must submit a request to your Tempco DSM/TSM to have the part number or design quoted.
There are two ways to do this:
- You can submit this request from the "Price by Part Number" page (screen displayed after entering the part number)
- You can add the item to your shopping cart and save the cart (the program will not let you submit an order with an item that cannot be priced). You can then send an email to your DSM/TSM referencing the shopping cart number.
Note: It is recommended that you save the item in the cart. Once custom pricing has been established, it will be populated into SA3. Once the pricing appears in the program, SA3 will allow you to submit the cart as an order.
For Group 3
Custom pricing is set by Tempco for all part numbers that cannot be priced using our standard pricing matrix.
Limitations of Custom Pricing:
- Custom pricing can only be applied to existing Tempco part numbers.
- Custom-priced part numbers are supported only if the pricing is current. Custom pricing is only valid for a set period of time and must be re-quoted when that time period has expired. The valid time period for custom pricing varies from product group to product group.
- If you enter a quantity less than the required custom price quantity, you will be notified of the minimum requirement and must enter a quantity meeting that requirement to continue.
- If the custom pricing period has expired, you will be asked to "Consult Tempco for pricing".
Availability
Estimated lead-times are shown in the shopping cart and on the summary pages when saving or submitting a shopping cart. We try to provide accurate estimates for lead times; however, there are cases where "Call" is designated as the estimated lead-time This means you should contact Tempco for details. Complicated designs or large quantities can trigger the "Call" setting.
After your order has been entered into our main system, the actual scheduled lead-time will be indicated on our standard acknowledgement, which is sent via Fax or Email per the settings for your account.
Pronto or Expedited Service
Tempco's Pronto service may be available for the product or products you are purchasing. You should always contact your Tempco DSM/TSM prior to requesting Pronto service.
If Pronto service has been quoted, you should add "PRONTO REQUIRED" in the shopping cart "Notes" box for that item. This is the only place you should add that note. Though not shown on your SA/3 acknowledgement, additional "Pronto" charges will apply as quoted.
